FULL-PACKAGE HOME INSULATION INSTALLERS

Full-Package Home Insulation Installers

Greer Spray Foam specializes in a wide array of insulation products and is able to provide high-quality, full-package services on our projects.

With specified insulation parameters becoming more complex in recent years incorporating Step Codes, Air Testing, Energy Reports, advanced insulation techniques, etc., it is important to partner with an insulation contractor who understands the intricacies required with these new-age applications.

Our Full-Package Insulation Options

We are proud to offer applications centered around the product types described below, but we are constantly following market trends to revise this list and stay on the cutting edge of the industry! Adding insulation in wall cavities, crawl spaces and attics insulates your home against air leaks that lead to heat loss. By installing spray foam insulation paired with additional closed cell insulations in your home improves energy costs, in turn saving energy.

We offer our services on home upgrades (attics, crawlspaces, etc.), larger renovation projects, single-family homes, multi-family projects, and even a wide-scale array of commercial projects!

If you have unique insulation requirements that are not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Spray Foam Insulation

Spray foam insulation is within the top tier of insulation options for your project.  Effective air barrier properties, high thermal performance at limited depths, and unique application parameters make spray foam a leading option for most applications.

Batt Insulation

Fiberglass batt insulation is the most widely used insulation product in North America.  With proper installation it can produce effective results coupled with a less-expensive price tag in comparison to higher tiered options.

Rigid Insulation

Rigid insulation is a high performance board stock option that typical has high thermal performance in limited depth.  In most interior envelope applications it is typically used as an accessory insulation to build up R-Values in select locations such as behind pipes, behind framing at concrete walls, etc.

Rockwool Insulation

Mineral wool insulation is typically considered at the top tier of batt insulation products.  While it often meets similar applications, it has certain unique features such as higher thermal performance at limited depths, extremely fire resistant, resistant to water and airborne humidity, higher density / durability, etc.

Blown-In Insulation

A unique fiberglass / cellulose spray-applied product that has conventionally been used to insulate within attic spaces.  New age building practices have also incorporated this product into high energy assemblies such as BIBS, and it can also be injected into certain assemblies through holes in the drywall.

Spray Fibreglass Insulation

Spray fiberglass insulation is a unique product containing both high end thermal and acoustical properties.  Because the application can self-suspend on a substrate, we often see these products utilized at parkade ceilings for thermal, or even at office space ceilings for acoustics and to reduce echo.

Smart Vapour Barriers

Conventionally standard 6mil poly has been the normal covering for most batt insulation products, but in recent years new-age “Smart” vapour barriers have been introduced as unique options as well.  Similar to 6mil poly these products typically incorporate an air barrier component, but their approach to vapour is unique in the sense that they offer a moisture management system which is an extremely effective approach in mixed climate markets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use spray foam vs. standard batt insulation?

Spray foam is more environmentally-friendly than batt insulation and offers other performance benefits including a more effective air and moisture barrier, reduction in noise levels, and increased structural strength.

Is spray foam insulation safe?

After the initial curing period during application, your spray foam insulation will be 100% safe and harmless. That’s why we recommend and enforce that all projects have a ventilation period to air out before we allow people to enter the space. This ventilation period is typically 24 hours, but can be accelerated with increased air changes. Any negative publicity associated with spray foam insulation has typically been associated with uncertified technicians using new, less quality-tested products or homeowners attempting to apply spray foam insulation without proper safety equipment.

How long does spray foam last?

With proper application, spray foam will last the lifetime of your home. Even roofing applications will last upwards of 30 years, with proper long-term maintenance.

Can I apply spray foam myself?

Without proper safety training the application process of spray foam insulation can be hazardous to your health. There can also be issues with product performance should details in the application process be overlooked. This is why it should be handled by certified professionals with proper safety & application equipment.
